Battery Care:

  1. Battery water level should never be allowed to fall below the top of the plates and should be filled only to the bottom of the slot with distilled water (see diagram)
  2. Please take care when filling with distilled water. Overfilling will allow the electrolytes to escape through the vents and will corrode unprotected metal and discolor concrete.
  3. Battery posts and cable connections should be cleaned, tightened, and be kept free from corrosion.
  4. Once a month washing of the battery compartment with a garden hose will usually keep dirt and corrosion off.

Note: this washing should NOT be done in your garage or driveway, as the acid will cause permanent stains on the concrete!!!

For the trouble-free use, we urge the owner to check the fallowing areas at least once a month
